With the 2013 Canadian karting season complete, big changes are on the horizon for Darren White as he is pleased to announce a switch to the Energy brand as he has taken over Energy Kart Canada. Becoming the Energy Corse distributor for the entire nation, White will springboard into action as he looks to rebrand his team and help grow the Energy name north of the border.

Sunday afternoon at the Toronto Racing Association for Karters (TRAK) annual banquet, club President Daniel Di Leo had a special surprise for the three club members that would be competing at the upcoming Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in New Orleans, USA.

Big news out of St-Hilaire, Quebec this week as a new kart-racing team has been formed. Sacha Gagnon, Luc Lussier and Alex Vincent have joined forces to form the new SH Racing Team, to be called SHR. The team has also announced it will race aboard FA Karts, a popular brand from the OTK family.

There have been many different winners in Eastern Canadian Karting Championship, Western Canadian Championship, and Coupe du Quebec competitions and they are all at Goodwood seeking the same thing; Canadian National glory. There are many drivers entered this year with the potential of joining Team Canada for the Rotax Grand Finals, but with only one ticket up for grabs this weekend it is going to be a great show!

The rain finally halted on Sunday morning in Las Vegas, USA and for the first time since Wednesday, the sun was shining on the SKUSA SuperNationals at the RIO Hotel & Casino. It was SuperSunday as 11 classes hit the track all seeking SuperNationals glory.


2. 2014 ASN Canada FIA Canadian National Karting Championships Location Announced

CKN has confirmed that the ASN Canada FIA 2014 Canadian National Karting Championships will return to Mont Tremblant, Québec at the Jim Russell Karting Academy.

Paul Cooke, ASN’s Vice President made the announcement at the conclusion of the victory ceremony at the 2013 Championships at Goodwood Kartways in August.

The final day of the 2013 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals brought excitement and ambience to the NOLA Motorsports Park facility as Saturday played host to six Grand Finals, crowning world and Invitational Champions. It was the best weather New Orleans has given us all week with off and on sunshine throughout the day. After a great opening ceremony in which Aretha Franklin sang the American National anthem, followed by a flyover from the local US Air Force it was time to go racing.
