On Sunday September 23rd 2012, the Mosport International Karting Association will be hosting its “Championship Finale” as we close 2012 season points championships. Many class championships are still up for grabs and if its anything like the last few years, there will be drama and excitement for all.
The layout for the event is the “Short Track with Bowl” configuration running in the regular direction. While traditionally, we run full track for the final event, members have been vocal about running the layout too often this year, so we break from tradition.
Classes for the event is as follows:
Honda Junior Light
Honda Junior Heavy
Briggs and Stratton Senior
Registration opens at 7:30am with the drivers meeting set for 8:45am. Practice will open at 9am sharp for the Rotax DD2/Shifter class out first. Entry fees are $70 for MIKA members and $80 for all members of other ASN clubs.
Tires for the event are Vega Blue tires for the 4-stroke classes, Rotax Masters and Rotax Mini-Max. All other Rotax classes will be on MOJO rubber and the shifter class is an open tire as always.
While we have your attention, may we also remind you of the MIKA Enduro taking place on Saturday, September 29th 2012. The main event this year is the four-stroke Senior race (Honda Senior, Honda Masters and Briggs and Stratton Senior) who will be running a 90 minute race. Teams of 2 drivers are allowed, but you are also encouraged to try to go the distance yourself. Start getting your teams ready and we will have more information available as we get closer to the event.
We will also need to get a feel for how many two-stroke drivers wish to compete in a 45 minute enduro. Please contact Andrew Massey at email@example.com if you plan on racing a two-stroke at the enduro.
