Update on the Condition of Ayrton Climo following crash at Le Monaco de Trois-Rivieres

Following the practice incident at Le Monaco de Trois-Rivieres in the Rotax Senior category we have an update on the condition of driver Ayrton Climo.

After coming into contact the hay bales and being thrown from his go-kart, Climo was rushed to Ste-Marie Hospital in Trois-Rivieres in critical condition.

Following an immediate surgery to relieve the pressure on his swelling brain from the impact, Climo was medically induced into a coma to allow the swelling of his brain to reduce. All of his vitals, bones and muscles are in good condition and the swelling in his brain is going down although as of Monday he still remains in the induced coma in critical but stable condition.

More information about his recovery will be posted when it becomes available.

From CKN and behalf of the karting community we wish for a safe recovery of Ayrton Climo and our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this difficult time.
