New York driver Dan Roeper (BN Racing/Birel) topped both the Qualifying and SuperPole Qualifying sessions in Rotax Senior to earn the outright pole-position for Saturday’s heat races.
Roeper was joined in the SuperPole session by Americans Kyle Kirkwood (OGP/TonyKart), Roger Ralston Jr. (Kartsport/FA Kart), Dalton Sargeant (PSL/CRG) and Elliot Finlayson (KoeneUSA/TonyKart) while Zachary Claman DeMelo (Goodwood/Intrepid) was the lone Canadian.
Kirkwood wound up second overall with Sargeant third in his first karting racing of the year, DeMelo fourth, Ralston Jr. fifth and Finlayson sixth.
Rounding out the top-ten from the timed session were American Luke Sellikan (RPG/Kosmic), Jamaican Thomas Issa (J3/Kosmic), Canadian Marco Signoretti (Energy Kart Canada) and American Morgan Healey (OGP/TonyKart). Canadian Zacharie Scalzo was 13th.
Saturday at the Coldstone Creamery Rotax Pan American Challenge will feature three rounds of heat races for each class. Plenty of racing is on tap in anticipation of Sundays main events.
