PR: The Waterloo Regional Kart Club gets ready to hold the largest 4 cycle race in Canada

The Oktoberfest Grandprix has been one of the longest standing traditions in Ontario karting, the 32nd running of this great event will take place on Saturday October 12th. The list of people who have attended and won the Grandprix is a who’s who of Karting in Ontario. The event gets started with practice on October 11th from 3 PM to dusk.

As in the past the feature race winners will be rewarded for their efforts with both prizes and trophies. There will be door prizes for all registered drivers. This is sure to be a great day of fun and racing, and is a great way to finish off the 2013 karting season.

The race schedule will include the following classes: Cadet, Novice, Jr. Lite, Jr. Heavy, Sr. Lite, Sr. Heavy and Masters. There will be a practice session followed by a qualifying session that will determine the starting order, and then a pre- final and final race to declare the winners. The weight for the Sr. Lite race will be 320 pounds.

The practice fee on Friday will be $30.00, and the race fee is only $75.00. On race day the gates will open at 7:00 am, registration will open at 7:30 am, please note registration will close at 8:45 am. The first practice session will begin at 9:00 am.

The Oktoberfest Grandprix is being co-presented by Budds’ Chevrolet and Neely Auto Service Ltd. Budds’ Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC is located in Oakville.
