UPDATED: PR: Mosport International Karting Association hits the Track This Weekend for Season Opener

Update Friday April 19:

Due to a shortage of the Mojo D1 product MIKA will be running Rotax Jr. utilizing Mojo D2 for Race 1 as well as Race 2, transition to D1 be Race 3  May 26th.

Spec Fuel Station Provider

Location has be changed to the RaceTrac Station situated at Regional Road 20 and HWY 35, all classes use premium Octane 91, gas provider for new station is the same as provider as prior spec station,  ensuring that  fuel does not contain ethanol, change became necessary as prior station is undergoing a change in management and could no longer guarantee hours of operation,  new location will be open from  5:00AM-8:00Pm Saturdays prior to events and will reopen 7:00Am Sundays.

Yes folks, it’s time to go racing again and this year is promising to be even better than 2012 with many new and returning members raring to go. As has become the tradition for MIKA, this weekend’s track configuration will be the “Short Track with Bowl” layout and will be run in the counter clockwise direction.

Race day entry fees are $70 for MIKA members and $80 for Non-MIKA members. Registration will open at 7:30am, Drivers Briefing will be at 8:45am and Practice will start at 9:00am. All drivers are asked to please print off the necessary race day forms and fill them in prior to registration on Sunday morning to help speed up the process. The following classes will be on offer for the day:

Briggs and Stratton Junior
Briggs and Stratton Senior
Briggs and Stratton Masters
Honda Junior Heavy
Honda Senior
Honda Masters
Rotax MiniMax
Rotax Junior
Rotax Senior
Rotax DD2
Pro Shifter

As a small reminder, the track will be open on Saturday, April 20 with the gates open at 8am Practice is available from 9am to 5pm but will be unavailable for approximately 1 hour during the course of the day to accommodate the Training Day schedule.
