The 2014 Florida Winter Tour is on track in Ocala, Florida, USA for the second round of the three-stop championship.
After success a month ago in Homestead, the series shifted north to a much cooler Ocala Gran Prix. Beautiful sunny skies helped warm up a very chilly morning for Fridays qualifying sessions, setting the tone for the remainder of the weekend.
Luis Schiavo (Intrepid) was once again the man to beat in DD2 Masters as he put his Goodwood Kartways prepped machine on the pole for both days of competition. Carlos Medina (CRG) and Derek Wang will start 2-3 on Saturday, then reverse their starting spots on Sunday.
Canadian Francis Mondou (KMS/Birel) was sixth and fourth.
Adding two more pole-positions to his weekend, Schiavo also controlled the Max Masters class, which he swept in Homestead. Raul Costa (TonyKart) will join him on the front row both days, as Scott Falcone (Arrow) and Brian McHattie (OGP/TonyKart) share row two.
A trio of Canadians are in the class with Peter Courteau (Kosmic) seventh, Keith Miller (KMS/Birel) ninth and David Shutiak (CRG) tenth.
Courteau jumped up to fifth for Sunday, while Miller and Shutiak slid back to tenth and twelfth.
