Final Days to Enter Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XIX

Pre-entry closes on November 1st, with over $130,000 in cash and prizes to be distributed.

The countdown continues to this year’s Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XIX, as the massive event is set to make its debut at the Las Vegas Convention Center on November 18-22. Less than three weeks remain before karts hit the track for the final round of the 2015 Fikse Wheels Pro Tour, on a soon-to-be-released layout at the new location. As expected, anticipation grows day-by-day to see who will score the prestigious SuperNats victories and, of course, the national championship crowns. Competitors have been planning for this event for weeks and months, all for a chance to race in the main events on SuperSunday. There’s no arguing the fact that the ‘SuperNationals IS Vegas’ – as the race continues to make history, serving as the largest karting event in the world. More than 475 drivers are registered to compete at the new venue alongside the Las Vegas Strip as of the date of this release – with 500+ total entries expected. Pre-registration will close this Sunday evening, November 1, at midnight Pacific time. The karting community will then have an idea of the incredible cast of drivers who will highlight each of the nine classes. If you have not yet pre-registered, you should do so immediately.

“We invest months in strategic planning, intensive meetings, on-site prep and paperwork before we even think of setting out for Las Vegas, so seeing all of the drivers entering the SuperNationals is always a positive for us…it gives us constant motivation to put on the best event we can,” offered Tom Kutscher, Superkarts! USA President. “The SuperNationals is the final round of the Fikse Wheels Pro Tour, so we are all excited to see who will emerge as our champions for 2015, but we’re also filled with nervous energy as we get set to run our biggest event at a brand new venue in the heart of the city. We can’t wait to get there and see everyone!”

For racers who have not yet registered for the event, the final chance to secure your position at this year’s SKUSA SuperNationals will come over the next couple of days, as the online race pre-registration deadline is set for midnight PDT on Sunday, November 1 at skusastore.com. Prices increase substantially for at-track registration, so those competitors making late plans should jump on the final chance to enter the SuperNationals. This is also the date for drivers to secure the other items they need to complete their registration, such as SKUSA memberships, transponder rentals, and practice tires.

The event is once again the richest sprint kart race in the country, with a cash purse of over $50,000 and a total prize package worth over $130,000. The big money is up for grabs in S1 Pro Stock Motor, TaG Senior and KZ2, with $10,000-to-win going to eligible racers in these three headline classes. SKUSA will dole out $60,000 in Pro Tour championship prize money and 2016 event sponsorships, with $3000 cash heading to the title winners in S1 and TaG Senior. All eight Pro Tour class champions will also be included in the 2016 SKUSA Circle of Champions, which includes all of the entry expenses for next year’s national series, valued at $3000 per driver.

In addition, HPD has promoted their contingency program throughout the year, which will include $9000 in cash awards, not to mention the Honda CR125 engine that will be given away to the Pro Tour champion in S2 Semi-Pro Stock Moto. IAME USA is also stepping up to the plate, providing new IAME X30 powerplants to the champions in TaG Senior, TaG Master and TaG Junior. The TaG Cadet champion will win a new IAME Mini Swift, that is unless they graduate to TaG Junior in 2016, which would make them eligible for a new X30, which will be the spec engine in the class next year.

The Sunday evening podium presentations are always an exciting and rewarding end to each edition of the SuperNationals, with BRM and Mothers Polish to again be featured as valuable Superkarts! USA partners. Each and every podium finisher will receive a Mothers prize package, and BRM will take center stage when they award striking new BRM timepieces to the race winners in S4 Master Stock Moto and TaG Master.

SKUSA has worked extremely hard to put a lot of background effort into this brand new venue, including helping all attendees while visiting from out of town. Ground transportation up and down the Las Vegas Strip has never been easier, thanks to the Las Vegas Monorail. An exclusive discount is available for SuperNationals attendees when they purchase a 3-Day Unlimited Ride Pass – these customers can receive an additional day for just $5. Competitors can order their tickets at the following LINK to be ready to enjoy all that Las Vegas has to offer. The finale of the Superkarts! USA Fikse Wheels Pro Tour, SuperNationals XIX, will once again include unprecedented television coverage on CBS Sport Network and available on-demand through MotorTrendOnDemand.com – thanks to Torque.TV. Three new shows are scheduled to include the action from the event at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with more details on the broadcast times following the event. eKartingNews.com, the official media partner of Superkarts! USA, is preparing for another year of live audio play-by-play streaming through their website. Anyone not at the event can listen into the EKN Trackside Live program at ekartingnews.com/live from qualifying on Thursday until the main events on SuperSunday.
