Euro Challenge: Thomas Preining Sweeps Rotax Junior

He was the man with a target on his back, but fortunately for him he was just too far out of reach. Austria’s Thomas Preining (FA Kart) proved his is one the best Junior drivers on the circuit as he simply powered away from his competition on route to victory, his second Euro Challenge win of the season.

He did have one charge for the lead on lap two, but he easily disposed of Leonard Hoogenboom (FA Kart) of the Netherlands before pulling away to a large victory.

Richard Veschoor (TonyKart) won a drag race for third, beating Hoogenboom by 0.02 seconds at the finish line in a very spirited final lap battle, while Dean Macdonald (TonyKart) completed the top-five.

Gianfranco Mazzaferro wasn’t able to convert his speed into results on the weekend, failing to make it through the Last Chance Race in the morning, therefore missing the main events on Sunday.
