Cup Karts Canada is proud to announce the inaugural recipients of the 2026 Legacy Builder Award, an honour created to recognize individuals whose dedication, leadership, and selfless contributions have helped build and strengthen the Canadian four-cycle karting community.
The Legacy Builder Award was presented for the first time during the 2026 Canadian Four-Cycle National Championship at Académie TAG Karting in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, taking place from May 15–17, 2026.
In its inaugural year, Cup Karts Canada is honoured to recognize Simon Pepin and Marc Stehle, two individuals whose passion for karting and commitment to helping others have left a lasting impact on racers, teams, and the broader karting community.
“In our sport, there are countless individuals who have worked behind the scenes for years to help others succeed,” said Gerald Caseley, Owner of Cup Karts Canada. “This award is about recognizing those people—the ones who built this community not for recognition, but because they genuinely care about the sport. Simon and Marc represent everything this award was created to celebrate.”
Simon Pepin
Simon Pepin’s involvement in motorsports began long before he entered karting. From building engine dynamometers and working with a wide variety of racing engines to contributing technical articles to Inside Karting Magazine, Simon developed a deep understanding and passion for motorsport. His journey continued through Formula Ford before eventually entering karting alongside his son. He was also involved in supporting governing bodies for the safety of sport and building regulations in Canada and in Quebec.
While Simon’s accomplishments on the track are notable, it is his dedication to supporting others that has earned him this recognition. Whether helping competitors solve technical issues, sharing knowledge, mentoring newcomers, or volunteering his time behind the scenes, Simon has consistently demonstrated a willingness to give back without seeking recognition.
His contributions extend far beyond the race track, balancing a professional career, family commitments, and his own racing activities while always finding time to assist fellow racers. Above all, Simon’s actions are driven by a genuine desire to see karting thrive and to help others succeed.
Marc Stehle
Marc Stehle has been a respected figure in karting for many years and is widely recognized for his sportsmanship, generosity, and unwavering support of fellow competitors.
Throughout his racing career, Marc has consistently demonstrated that helping others comes before competition. Regardless of chassis brand, team affiliation, or manufacturer, Marc has always been willing to share his knowledge, experience, and assistance with anyone in need.
After relocating to the United States and establishing his own racing team, Marc continued to support racers for the right reasons—helping develop talent, encouraging participation, and contributing to the growth of grassroots karting. His commitment to the sport and to the people within it has earned the respect of competitors across North America.
Honouring the Builders of the Sport

As Cup Karts Canada continues to expand its national platform for four-cycle karting, the Legacy Builder Award represents an important commitment to preserving the history, culture, and community that have defined the sport for generations.
The 2026 Canadian Four-Cycle National Championship is expected to be a landmark event, bringing together competitors from across Canada at one of North America’s premier karting facilities.
