A Statement to the CKN Nation: Canadians and CKN Ready for the World in November!

It’s November CKN Nation and you know what that means, quite possibly the busiest month of the year is on tap for many Canadian karters, teams and CKN. This month plays host to the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals and the SKUSA SuperNationals. New Orleans, Louisiana plays host to the Rotax Grand Finals as it hits North American soil for the first time ever. It has become a very popular event for Canadians, with this year’s event a little extra special with the addition of the Micro-Max and Mini-Max Invitational races, while SuperNationals 17 in Las Vegas, Nevada is the largest and most popular North American karting event of the year.

As we prepare for these two massive events here is a rundown of what is on tap this month on CKN.

For the second straight year, CKN will be trackside for every moment of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, this year in New Orleans. This will be the second trip for CKN to the beautiful NOLA Motorsports Park this year, after attending the Rotax Pan American Challenge in October to score out the facility.

Our coverage begins on Monday November 3, as we kick off our preview of each driver on Team Canada. Each day we will feature a class and the drivers flying the Maple Leaf. With a massive roster of 34 drivers, Team Canada is jam-packed and we can’t wait to introduce everyone to you. We will also have a look at each of the chassis used this year, as well as the NOLA facility as the event gets closer.

CKN arrives in New Orleans on Saturday November 9 and will have day-by-day updates, articles and photos on our social media pages as well as the website in the opening days of the Grand Finals, where drivers will raffle for their chassis, get accustomed to their machines, and begin practice and shakedown their equipment.

Starting Thursday November 14 our coverage steps up with our CKN Live Chat, on our live page (https://www.canadiankartingnews.com/live), as well as class-by-class reports each day starting with Qualifying and going all the way to the Finals on Saturday where Rotax will crown four Grand Finals champions and two invitational winners.

Keeping in touch with all of our Canadian drivers throughout the event, we have a lot in store and if you cannot make it to New Orleans, you need to stay glued to CKN!

SKUSA SuperNationals XVII

Immediately following the Grand Finals, our attention will shift to Sin City as the RIO All Suites Hotel & Casino hosts the 17th annual SuperKarts USA! SuperNationals in Las Vegas.

The event boasts almost 600 entries over eleven classes, with this year including the Rotax Junior and Rotax DD2 classes along with their full array of shifter and TaG classes.

Canadians have always helped fill the grid at the SuperNationals and with the addition of the Rotax classes, there will be plenty of Canadian flags in Las Vegas. There is always a very international feel in the paddock, with factory support and professional karters making their way to Las Vegas for this massive event, making it very popular.

Our coverage for the event will begin on Monday November 18, as we will preview the classes and Canadian drivers taking part. We will start our trackside coverage on Thursday November 21, and go all the way to Super Sunday where SKUSA will hand out over $100,000 in prizes and awards.

These two events are jam packed with action and excitement and we cannot wait to tell you about them. This November, you won’t want to miss a thing on CKN!
