ASN Canadian National Karting Championships Open to International Drivers

We have just been informed by ASN Canada FIA that this years ASN Canadian Karting Championships, held in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, has opened up the registration to allow American and International drivers. The event will take place on the labour day long weekend, August 31 to September 4.

Non-Canadian drivers hoping to race at this years ASN Canadian Championships will have to meet certain requirements (see document below) to be able to compete. All classes are open, Rotax Max, Briggs & Stratton and Shifter, however only Canadian drivers are eligible to win the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals tickets in Rotax Junior, Senior, DD2 and DD2 Masters.

“We have switched to an ‘Open’ championship format to help bolster the subscriptions and allow individuals and teams more access to the event with an eye to increasing competitive action. However, only Canadians are eligible to win a ticket to the Rotax Grand Finals in Sarno, Italy later this year,” said Paul Cooke, ASN’s Director of Karting. “Next week will also see the posting of the detailed event schedule and other information.”
