After joining forces with French watch manufacturer, Bernard Richards Manufacture (BRM Watches), Devlin and Lachlan DeFrancesco are pleased to announce their new partnership with Toronto, Ontario based Yogen Fruz and Yogurty’s. Obtaining sponsorship support from outside the world of motorsports, DeFrancesco Racing and their two young pilots look to build a relationship that will flourish in the years to come.

“We are excited to be involved in our new partnership with Devlin, Lachlan and the entire DeFrancesco Racing program,” stated Yogen Fruz Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Aaron Serruya. “We have known Devlin for many years, dating back to his struggles at Sunnybrook during his premature birth. We’ve watched with enthusiasm, as his passion for racing has accelerated over the year. We’re excited to be playing a role in his future career, as he strives to become one of Canada’s great athletes.”

“With their performance in North America and now around the world, this was a perfect opportunity for us to showcase our various Brands at the international level.” Serruya further added “As the growth of Yogen Fruz, Yogurty’s and Jamba Juice continues, Devlin and Lachlan’s profile as young and dynamic individuals, with active and healthy lifestyles, embody what our Brands represent.”

“We are really happy to have Yogun Fruz and Yogurty’s join our program,” noted Team Manager and Driver Coach Nick Mitchell. “Nowadays, so many up and coming karters are relying on sponsorship from inside the sport of karting and it is just too small for that. Expanding your contacts and working with new companies is something that we have tried to do since we became a team. It is now beginning to pay off for us.”

Yogen Fruz and Yogurty’s Co-Founders and Aaron and Michael Serruya started following Devlin at only seven years of age. Five years ago, Devlin was featured on the companies website as one of Canada’s most potential up and coming athletes and after continuing to follow his development and his move to the US and European motorsports scene, coupled with Yogen Fruz’s worldwide expansion, they felt the time was right for an increased partnership.

In addition to the partnership with the DFR pilots, Devlin and Lachlan DeFrancesco are huge fans of both Yogen Fruz and Yogurty’s. Always making time to hit up Yogurty’s locations in their birth town of Toronto, Ontario, the DeFrancesco’s enjoy a cool Yogen Fruz treat at their home in Miami, Florida.

Yogen Fruz was established in 1986 when two young brothers opened a revolutionary frozen yogurt retail concept in Toronto, Canada. Located in the core of a major metropolitan area, a small store with an extraordinary product and a great design was key to their success. A concept was developed that provided consumers a health experience unlike any they had tasted before. They immediately fell in love and a strong following pursued.

Today, Yogen Fruz has grown to be a world leader in the frozen yogurt category, with over 1300 locations operating in 35 countries around the world. Yogen Fruz was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine for its accomplishments and was rated the number one Franchise in the World in 1999 among the Franchise 500.

Shortly after, Yogurty’s was established in 1987. Following in the footsteps of Yogen Fruz, and when frozen yogurt arrived on the scene as a healthy alternative snack, the Yogurty’s concept was created in downtown Toronto. It’s unique concept, featuring rich and creamy frozen yogurt that tastes like ice cream without the fat and fewer calories, was enjoyed by adults and kids alike. It soon became an international sensation with shops around the world. Yogurty’s etched its name as being the provider of premium frozen yogurt and today that reputation still stands.

With karting providing the roots to the world of motorsports, Yogen Fruz and Yogurty’s have joined DeFrancesco Racing to get in on the ground floor and help young athletes rise to the top. With a two-year program now in place, Yogen Fruz and Yogurty’s will be present in upcoming events, starting with the Rotax Max Challenge United States Grand Nationals August 7- 11 at the Jet Karting facility of Michiana Raceway Park near South Bend, Indiana.

“My brother and I look to make all of our new sponsors and supporters proud with great representation of their products,” expressed Devlin DeFrancesco. “Not only that, we hope we can provide them plenty of race wins and podium results throughout our partnership.”
